Into its 21st year, this leading communications event has since grown to stage three additional related trade shows – BroadcastAsia, EnterpriseIT and InteractiveDME.

Companion conferences made possible at Expo

Increasingly, exhibition organisers are looking at delivering a multi-faceted business event experience, and the best way to achieve this is to incorporate conferences and meetings alongside the main exhibition. Both CommunicAsia and its sister trade event, BroadcastAsia, now present a conference component each.

The CommunicAsia Summit will boast ten forums and workshops highlighting topics such as “Converged Device Management”, “Getting In On the Cloud”, “Network Security” and “Mobile Value Added Services”. Most importantly, it will feature keynote speakers including the Chief Executive Officers of Blyk, hSenid Software, InCent, Infinita, Skype and Starhub, plus senior management executives from numerous MNCs such as Accenture, Edelman, HP, IBM, Intel, Microsoft, Motorola, Research In Motion, Samsung and Yahoo!.

At the BroadcastAsia International Conference, keynote speakers will discuss pertinent issues in six informative sessions, namely “Embrace & Engage the Future – Broadband, 3D & Beyond”, “Breaking New Barriers in Multi-Platform Content Delivery”, “The New TV Model”, “Optimizing File Based Workflow and Asset Management”, “Increasing your ROI: Leveraging on New Social Networking Media” and “Revolutionary Technology Transmission and TV Systems”. Two new conferences will also be launched this year – “Creative Content Production” and “New Communications & Broadcast World”. To fully accommodate all these sessions under one roof, Expo's Hall 8 will be creatively transformed into a conference complex, housing two large rooms – Marquise and Trilliant.

Auxiliary business activities are not forgotten at Expo

An integral component of any successful exhibition is business discussion and matching sessions, where partnerships are forged and deals are made. At CommunicAsia, Hospitality Suites will be made available in Halls 4 and 5 for leading companies such as Amdocs, Ceragon Networks, Dialogic, Emerson Network Power, Harmonic, Huawei, NTT Docomo, Yahoo! and Zhongguancun Science Park, where focused business meetings with their targeted customers can conducted seamlessly.

Chandran Nair, Deputy General Manager of Expo’s managing company, Singex Venues Pte Ltd, comments, “Singapore Expo is committed to redefining the exhibition and convention experience, and further reinforcing Singapore's reputation as one of Asia's best cities to hold a business event. For a major international trade show of an impressive scale and size such as CommunicAsia, we are flexible enough to fully cater to both the massive exhibition-cum-conference model as well as intimate business meetings on the sidelines.
